To lead man back to God's promise of light and salvation. Elias lead the survivors to the point of Antioch and proclaimed that site the land of salvation. Here man would beging the climb from the brink under God's guidance. As Antioch was built, the forces of Asmodeus, still running rampant upn Ias from the Sundering, gathered to do battle with Elias and his Apostles.
Elias sacrificed himself to slay Asmodeus upn Ias and send the true devil's back to Hell.
Elias rose for a short while after his death to communicate to the Apostles God's unfiltered word to his people. Chief among this was No man can know God but through Elias and the revealed word.
